Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed a bizarre pre-match preparation during his time at Mainz-the Haka.
The traditional Maori posture dance-used most famously by New Zeland’s rugby union side-was present at Melwood on Tuesday.
After Klopp and his squad watched a performance of the haka in person, the Liverpool boss revealed how it was that dance which he used to help kick-start his managerial career at Mainz.
"I love the haka," Klopp said. "My career started with the haka when I was a manager at Mainz. I was a player on Sunday and on Monday I became a manager.
