Liverpool climb above Manchester City as £64m value rise revealed

Liverpool have been named as the fourth most valuable football club in the world, according to a new report. The figures suggest the Reds are close to catching up with Manchester United in third place. According to the review from Brand Finance sees the value of Liverpool rise by £64.3m compared to last year - to a new total of £1.143bn. That is still behind United, but the gap has narrowed after the Red Devils lost a projected £143m. The top two clubs in the report are Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. Real are first with a total value of £1.286bn (a £205m fall from last year) with Barca just behind on £1.280bn (a rise of £18.1m).
