Liverpool are reportedly interested in Weston McKennie. The American has been an impressive in the Bundesliga this season for Schalke. He is a midfielder who brings plenty of energy to the team and he is already a regular for the United States national team.
The 21-year-old is expected to leave Schalke this summer and he has already made it clear that he wants to test himself in the Premier League.
"For me, the next goal is England. It has always been my dream to play in the Premier League,” McKennie told Goal earlier in the year. "I want to join a club that fights for a place in Europe – the Champions League or the Europa League. For now, I'm happy at Schalke because I get to play."
According to CBS Sports, Liverpool are weighing up a deal for the Washington-born star. Schalke are prepared to sell McKennie for between £18million and £26m and additionally to the interest of Jurgen Klopp, he is managed by close friend and former Huddersfield boss David Wagner.
