Liverpool are considering a move for Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly ahead of the summer transfer window. His agent Vincenzo Morabito admitted there was a strong chance he leaves Napoli this summer. But Liverpool are ready to make their efforts to land the 29-year-old. Morabito has revealed how this is a good time for Koulibaly to leave Naples after seven years at the club. “I believe that for Koulibaly it could be a good year to leave,” he told Calcio Mercato. “Liverpool will go heavily and, at the moment, I think there is a big possibility that Koulibaly will be able to leave Napoli.” It follows comments made last week by Morabito, where he insisted Liverpool were winning the race for the defender. “Koulibaly and Fabian Ruiz are on their way out: if they were to be sold, two other high-level players would arrive,” he told Radio Marte via Corriere Dello Sport. “There are concrete interests for both, but the post-Covid prices will be downwards. Liverpool is in pole for Koulibaly, and it is also the club that can satisfy De Laurentiis economically.”
