Liverpool face threat of Carabao Cup expulsion after win over MK Dons

Liverpool won 2-0 over MK Dons and qualified for the next round of Carabao Cup. However they are now facing a threat of expulsion as EFL is investigating the third-round win. As per BBC, Liverpool could face expulsion if they are found to have fielded an ineligible player against MK Dons. A statement from club reads: "The club are aware of a potential administrative issue pertaining to one of our players. "We are working with the relevant authorities in order to establish the facts of the matter and will be making no further comment until this process is complete." Meanwhile, Liverpool are preparing to play an away Premier League game against Sheffield United today, September 28.
