Liverpool forward Divock Origi has deleted every single post on his Twitter account and there is no longer any reference to the club in his bio on the social media website. So Reds fans assume that is a goodbye message from the 25-year-old.
Origi has been linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of the re-opening of the transfer window in January. The market resumes on Friday week with Wolves likely to be in the market for a striker to replace Raul Jimenez, with the Mexico international suffering a fractured skull at the end of November.
The Belgian international has scored some important goals for the Reds in the Champions' League and against rivals Everton, and that is why some fans will be sad to see him depart if he does.
"Goodbye our unsung hero," one fan said.
Another added:
"I wish him all the best wherever he ends up."
"If he leaves, it'll be on a good note," a third fan said while another added:
"Needs to be playing so needs the move."
A fifth supporter said:
"If you are going, good luck."
