Liverpool hero Steve McManaman sends warning to Real Madrid over Sadio Mane transfer pursuit

Sadio Mane will not leave Liverpool this summer to join Real Madrid, thinks Steve McManaman. Mane scored 77 goals in 161 appearances for the club in his four years at the club. Reports say Zinedine Zidane has identified Mane as his top target ahead of the summer transfer window. Florentino Perez ready to spend up to £140m to secure his signature. However, McManaman thinks, Mane won't leave the club. "I’ll take rumours of Real Madrid’s interest in Sadio Mane and Erling Haaland with a pinch of salt," the former England midfielder told horseracing.net. "Regardless of how the Champions League turns out this season, the best teams in the world at present are the English teams. Real Madrid and Barcelona are not! They both want to start again and bring in a few new players because they’ve both had disappointing seasons this year, so they’re going to start turning their squads over.
