Speaking after the
Sean Cox charity game, Fowler said: “I would never stand here and say ‘yes, they’re going to do it’.”
“I know there’s going to be obstacles there. I think Liverpool are a brilliant team, we all know that. But winning the Premier League is tough.
“And it’s a little bit tougher because we see Manchester City with the greatest squad in the history of the Premier League.
“For us to finish above them would be special. But we know it’s not going to be easy. As Sir Alex Ferguson said, every game is tough.
“We’ll use every cliche in the book. There’ll be twists and turns. But fingers crossed.”
