Liverpool name 16-man squad that will return to Melwood for pre-season on Saturday

Jurgen Klopp and his squad head back to Melwood for the beginning of their summer schedule as they prepare for an eight-game fixture list before the 2019/20 season will get underway. Liverpool's first Premier League game of the season will be against Norwich City on Friday, August 9. While Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are participating in the AFCON and Roberto Firmino with Alisson are in the final of the Copa America, there are some players who will be returning to Melwood. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joe Gomez, Fabinho as well as Adam Lallana will be returning to Melwood for the pre-season on Saturday. Liverpool's new signing Sepp van den Berg will also join the squad as well as Nathaniel Clyne, Ryan Kent, Joel Matip and James Milner. Ki-Jana Hoever, Curtis Jones and Nat Phillips are also named in the 16-man squad, while 19-year-old Anderson Arroyo and Harry Wilson  will also be present. via LiverpoolECHO
