Liverpool are reportedly lining up a bid to sign Jamal Lewis as cover for Andy Robertson. Jurgen Klopp is thought to be a ‘big admirer’ of the Norwich left-back.
The 22-year-old impressed his first season in the English top-flight but was unable to prevent Norwich from sinking down into the Championship. Three years ago, Liverpool captured Robertson from relegated Hull City for a fee of just £8million which is now regarded as one of the bargains of the Premier League era.
According to the Daily Mirror, there is great ‘excitement’ about Lewis at Liverpool after a series of outstanding performances in recent months. Lewis’ versatility makes him an attractive proposition for the Reds.
