Liverpool's six man transfer hit list as Jurgen Klopp works with tight budget

Liverpool have won the Premier League this season and will now look to strengthen their squad in a bid for a title defence. The Reds are not expected to do a great deal this summer but there are a few gaps that need to be filled. A new centre-back is required after the departure of Dejan Lovren. Here are six players who could improve Liverpool’s squad, and who could well be available to them this summer. Jamal Lewis, 22, has shown an energy and a willingness to get up and down the left flank during his time at Norwich. He could be a good back-up option for Andy Robertson. Ben White, who is on loan at Leeds United from Brighton & Hove Albion, could be a good replacement for Lovren. Real Betis player Aissa Mandi has been linked with a move to Liverpool. He may be available on the cheap with his deal is due to expire in 2021. Thiago Alcantara of Bayern Munich is another option. While he doesn’t fit their usual age profile, but if an exception can be made then surely he’s the kind of player who would warrant it. If the 29-year-old becomes available at the right price, plenty would be excited to see what he can do in the Premier League. Wolves star Adama Traore would be an intriguing signing for the Reds. A younger option in the front three. However, Wolves’ high asking price could still scupper a move. Ismaila Sarr, menahwile, could be a more affordable option to Traore. The Watford man impressed against the Reds. He could be available following his team’s relegation. Source: Daily Star
