Lo Celso, Aurier, Rodon: Tottenham latest team news and injury updates ahead of Dinamo Zagreb

Tottenham are set to face Dinamo Zagreb in the first leg of the Europa League round 16 on Thursday night. Jose Mourinho’s side picked up a confident 8-1 (aggregate) win over Wolfsberger in the round 32 and qualified for the next Europa League round. And ahead of the game, here are the latest team news and injury updates for Spurs. Serge Aurier was missing from Tottenham's win over Fulham a week ago,  and head coach Jose Mourinho suggested that he would return against Roy Hodgson's Eagles. "Serge I believe yes. He had that injury then he played the last match until minute 70, 75 when he started feeling his calf again," he said. "He doesn't have an injury, he has just not the best feelings after a muscular injury. I believe he is going to be [ok], I believe, but to be honest I was so happy with Matt Doherty's performance [against Fulham]." However, the right-back did not end up featuring against Palace, failing to make the matchday squad. But, when Mourinho provided an update on the injury front on Wednesday, he confirmed that midfielder Giovani Lo Celso was his only injury problem, meaning the right-back is poised to return against Zagreb. After a long spell on the sidelines through a hamstring injury, Lo Celso was considered as being in with a chance of making his highly-anticipated return against Zagreb tonight, but Mourinho has now been forced into confirming that the Argentine has suffered a fresh blow. "Gio is not ready but it's nothing to do with his previous important injury, from which he's totally recovered," Mourinho said during Wednesday's pre-match press call. "But with his accumulation of work his feelings are not the best at the moment, a little bit of some back pain so he's had to stop working the way he was doing. So not for this match." Centre-back Joe Rodon won't be available for selection because he is not part of the club's Europa League squad list. Source- football.london Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
