New Orleans Pelicans’ basketball player Lonzo Ball has told it was a great chance for him to play next to LeBron James.
The 21-year-old has called playing with James as a “dream come true,” as he grew up watching the NBA professional’s performances.
He just turned six years old two days before the American professional made his NBA debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Then James was already a four-time MVP winner, three-time champion and three-time Finals MVP when Ball started his league games.
He told Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report:
“I had been watching him my whole life, and I own his jerseys and everything… I was kind of on edge like I didn’t know how to be around him. Because I had never really been around someone I looked up to like that. Then I saw him in the locker room, and it was crazy.”
James and Ball have played 34 games together. They became the eight pair of teammates to tail triple-doubles during the same game.
