Los Angeles Lakers are concerned about Anthony Davis, as the player left the 117 - 87 win over New York Knicks after taking a heavy fall on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old has suffered a sacrum bone contusion near the bottom of the spine during the third quarter of the game.
According to the Lakers' coach Frank Vogel, it is planned for Davis to undergo further testing, as X-rays were negative.
Speaking on the NBA players' injury, Vogel told reporters after the game:
"We're just hoping and praying for the best right now. He is one of our pillars. He is our present. He is our future. He is one of the best players in the world, so he obviously means a lot."
ESPN reported, that Davis is expected to miss the Lakers' games against Dallas and Oklahoma City, though the team have not give an official announcement on his status.
