Luke Shaw’s England teammate “feared the worst” after defender suffered his horror injury

Luke Shaw’s England teammates admitted hey feared worst after the defender collapsed while challenging for an aerial ball after half time in Saturday’s 2-1 Nations League defeat at Wembley. Shaw was treated by ten members of the medical team for close to seven minutes and given oxygen before being carried off motionless on a stretcher. After the incident Liverpool midfielder Henderson said post-match:  “I wasn’t very close at the time but I've seen his head sort of shook. “I think he is OK, back in there now. At first I didn’t know how serious it was, but obviously when the paramedics come on with the stretcher and the neck brace you start to fear the worst. “Touch wood, I think he’s OK. That’s the main thing.” Left-back Shaw was X-rayed and was thankfully soon walking and talking in the changing room. Shaw himself posted on his social media account making assuring everyone he is Ok. https://twitter.com/LukeShaw23/status/1038541880953372673
