Manchester City have made €65m offer for defender – Txiki being ‘very careful'

Manchester City have made €65m offer for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. However, Aurelio de Laurentiis has made it clear he would like a figure nearing or matching €100m. The publication explain what Fali Ramadani’s brought over from the Premier League club was way off that. Ramadani’s biggest problem is his relationship with Txiki Begiristain, as the director ‘still hasn’t digested’ Jorginho’s U-turn to Chelsea when a deal bringing him to the Etihad was sorted. Manchester City ‘don’t want to be used’ to create an ‘auction’ for the centre-back, and are therefore ‘very careful’. On the other hand, Ramadani is trying to smooth the corners and get the two parties as closely as possible. Source: sportswitness
