Manchester City have identified Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as a perfect replacement for Sergio Aguero at Etihad, according to Sky Sports. Aguero is currently out of the game as he suffered an injury.
While long linked with a move to Barcelona, Martinez remains in Milan with City reportedly in a better financial position to strike a deal. Lautaro has a release clause of £98.5 million with Barcelona recently admitting they'll likely hold off making a move. Martinez has scored 18 goals in 39 games for Inter this season so far.
Moreover, Manchester City also interested in signing Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and David Alaba from Bayern Munich. Eurosport, meanwhile, reported on Wednesday, that Pep Guardiola’s side have reached a “total agreement” with Valencia star Ferran Torres and soon he will make a move to England.
