Manchester City delegates have met with Juventus in the London to discuss the signing of Joao Cancelo.
Italian outlet Tuttomercato claim City and Juve have mulled over a £44million deal for Cancelo, which could see Danilo move the other way.
With Walker having just turned 29, it is thought Cancelo will become his long-term successor under Pep Guardiola. The defender will earn £4.4m annually until 2024.
Following the talks in the capital with Juventus’ Paratici over Cancelo, the Portugal international could become City’s first summer signing.
But City fans will not see him in action immediately due to the Nations League.
Cancelo will be given extended summer break by either Juventus or City, having played for Portugal in the tournament earlier this month.
