Manchester City have reportedly opened talks to sign Palmeiras attacker Gabriel Veron.
The 18-year-old played for Brazil at the Under-17 World Cup in 2019, and City have signed two of his teammates from that side – Yan Couto and Diego Rosa.
According to
SPORT, Cityzens are in talks to snap Veron, with Manchester United and Barcelona are also interested.
The Manchester clubs are now leading the race, and are hoping to close a deal as soon as possible – before Blaugranas can get their house in order.
A deal for Veron could cost around €20million (£18million), though Palmeiras would ideally like a little more – something like the €32million (£28million) they sold Gabriel Jesus to City for in 2016.
The Brazilian is more of a winger than a striker, not exactly like Jesus, however, has scored six goals and provided three assists in his last 22 senior outings for Palmeiras.
