Manchester City have received a boost as Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan will return to the club early from the World Cup 2022.
City had 16 first-team players in World Cup 2022 group stages and now two of them have been eliminated.
De Bruyne, along with Belgium, failed to qualify for the round of 16 as they finished 3rd in Group F. Meanwhile, Germany crashed out of the Qatar 2022 after finishing 3rd in Group E.
City return to action on December 22 with an EFL Cup game against Liverpool.
