Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has snapped an achilles tendom during training months ago which ruled out him for the whole season.
And Citizens' boss Pep Guardiola has targeted USA goalkeeper Zack Steffen as a back-up for Ederson. The deal will reportedly be around £5million.
Steffen told the official MLS website: “I learned, at least in Germany, how the soccer life is over there and how they work and what Europe is like and what life is like off the pitch over there. So that definitely is in the back of my mind for the future.”
Bristol City's £3million bid was rejected for the young goalkeeper after which his reputation has grown.
