Former Premier League player Jan Åge Fjørtoft has urged Manchester City to offer Bayern Munich defender David Alaba a "
big contract".
Citizens are willing to improve the squad for the summer transfer window, with Pep Guardiola eager to strengthen the defence, bringing new fresh players to Etihad.
And Fjørtoft believes Alaba can perfectly fit for this role, while urged City to negotiate for signing the Austrian professional. The Norwegian took Twitter to share his thoughts on the 28-year-old defender, saying:
“Re: Alaba, I am a big fan of David Alaba – so is Guardiola by the way and Bayern too.
Still not extended his contract. Manchester City next season? Most likely he extends his contract….but I guess Man City could tempt him with a new challenge and a BIG contract.”
