Kyle Walker's future at Manchester City is not under threat this summer, as his boss Pep Guardiola stick by him, according to Metro. The 29-year-old released a public apology in April after reports have claimed that he held a party with two sex workers.
City detailed their dismay in a statement of their own and confirmed they would conduct an internal disciplinary procedure into Walker’s actions. But Walker was caught breaking lockdown rules for a second time in early May when he visited family in Yorkshire.
This time, City declined to take action against Walker as they sympathise with each player’s difficulties in being separated from their family.
Despite Walker’s wrongdoings, Guardiola is counting on keeping him at the club next season. Joao Cancelo’s arrival was a test for Walker but the England international has kept his place as first-choice right-back.
