Manchester United are considering a move for Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti, according to
Mundo Deportivo.
The Frenchman has been linked with Arsenal but the Gunners are unlikely to be able to afford the centre-back.
With Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to put pen to paper and secure a £50m move from Crystal Palace, and with missing out on Harry Maguire to City, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will turn his attention to a new central defender.
With Barcelona said to be interesting in United’s Victor Lindelof, Umtiti has emerged as a plausible option.
The 25-year-old France international was a United target last summer before penning a contract extension at the Nou Camp.
Umtiti suffered an injury-plagued season and Barcelona are believed to be considering moving on with concerns over his troublesome knee.
