How Manchester United could look with Brazilian transfer targets

Manchester United have not signed a Brazilian since Ferguson left and now, with Mourinho in charge, the Red Devils’ style can undergo changes with the signing of Brazilian players. Brazilian player Fred who is very close to joining Manchester United has the guile to effect the United attack and is unlikely to be pigeonholed as a defensive-minded option. Fred has the eye for a threaded pass a la Carrick and the former club captain's transition into assistant would aid the 25-year-old Shakhtar midfielder, who seems to relish attacking more than defending. "Paulo Fonseca allows me to play both offensively and defensively," Fred said of the Shakhtar coach. "And my main task is to change the direction of attacking moves... now I am the conductor." Ander Herrera may be supplanted. United identified Alex Sandro as their preferred left-back target as early as January. Sandro, 27, is five years Young's junior and has only missed six Juve matches through injuries and ailments since he joined the club in 2015. Brazil coach Tite also omitted Sandro from the Brazil World Cup squad, so the former Porto player would be free to travel on United's pre-season tour. Willian would also provide old-fashioned wing play on the opposite flank, should Chelsea allow another Mourinho signing to reunite with the Portuguese. United are believed to be keen on recruiting a right-back even with the returning Timothy Fosu-Mensah available. Willian would bring balance to a lopsided attack. A possible United XI next season
