Manchester United made transfer offer for Harry Maguire alternative

Manchester United identified an alternative to Harry Maguire. United remain interested in Leicester City’s Maguire, who could cost around £80million to sign this summer. According to O Jogo, via Sport Witness, United put in a bid for Benfica centre-back Ruben Dias but the offer was turned down by Luis Felipe Vieira. Dias has broken into the Portugal side since becoming a regular for Benfica over the past two seasons. The 22-year-old’s release clause stands at around  £59.3million.
