Manchester United make 45m bid for Harry Maguire alternative

Manchester United have bid 45m for Serie A club Fiorentina player Nikola Milenkovic. United need defensive reinforcement after they conceded 54 Premier League goals last season and Milenkovic could be an option as they fail to sign Harry Maguire. The 21-year-old has impressed in Serie A since joining the Italian side from Partizan Belgrade in 2017. Earlier United had offered £36m for Milenkovic  but now they have made another approach with an improved offer.
