Manchester United's Marcus Rashford has told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he’s ready to put his body on the line and ‘play with a bit of pain’ against Manchester City this weekend.
The 23-year-old forward was struggling with a shoulder problem and had to be replaced with 15 minutes remaining of United’s 3-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
And it appears the England international- who missed five months of last season with a back issue – is still experiencing some discomfort in his shoulder.
However, talking to United’s official website, Rashford insisted he was fit enough to play a key role in Saturday’s Manchester derby at Old Trafford.
"I have to try to control things I can control," he said.
"I don’t want to miss a game, especially the big, important games.
"If I feel like I can still help the team by scoring goals, working hard and making assists, there’s no reason why I can’t play with a bit of pain."
