Manchester United star says goodbye ahead of possible January transfer deal

Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has reportedly said his goodbyes to staff at Old Trafford and is not expected to return to the club. Romero has fallen down the pecking order with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer making Dean Henderson his backup to David De Gea. The 33-year-old has not been at training since the start of the year and has returned to Argentina. According to Manchester Evening News, Romero is training in Buenos Aires, with a move to Boca Juniors possible. He is reported to have said his goodbyes to staff at United's Carrington training complex before he exits the club. Romero has six months left on his contract and United do have the option to trigger a year extension on Romero's contract but are not expected to do so.
