Manchester United table £68.5m bid to sign playmaker with 19 goal contributions

Manchester United have tabled a £68.5 million offer to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente during the summer transfer window, according to AS. Llorente joined the Spanish side from Real Madrid back in 2019. During the current campaign, he has recorded 10 goals and nine assists in 35 appearances. Now the report claims United are eager to sign the player and have made a £68.5m bid for him. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid could agree on a deal due to financial problems. The Red Devils are prepared to double Llorente's current wages, should the deal materialize. However, it should be noted that the 26-year-old is happy at the Spanish club and he would need some convincing to make a move to Old Trafford during the next transfer window.
