Manchester United are tracking Newcastle youngster Sean Longstaff, however, Longstaff has rejected a summer transfer to United – declaring he has unfinished business at his club
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees the 21-year-old as one for the future, who could learn his trade from Nemanja Matic.
Longstaff was ruled out for the rest of the 2018–19 season following a knee ligament injury sustained in March.
Asked about being linked with a move to Old Trafford, Longstaff said: “
It shows how far I have come. If someone told me at the start of the season I'd be getting linked with these teams I 'd have laughed.
“It is flattering to have your name in these conversations. You have nice stuff said about you and get linked with top clubs, but for me I have only wanted to play for Newcastle.
“I have had a small taste of it, and I want more. I want to get fit and be in for a whole season."
