Manchester United have been urged to continue their spending with two more signings. Former United Academy defender Danny Higginbotham believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to continue the transfer momentum. Higginbotham though still wants Solskjaer to sign the England winger and says a deal for Sancho would be “absolutely brilliant”. He told ESPN: “I think from Manchester United’s perspective they need to look at it and say ‘we need to close the gap to Manchester City and we need to close the gap to Liverpool’, and I think they need a couple more signings. “In an ideal world I think they need another centre-back. If they could get Sancho in, that would be absolutely brilliant. Then, they could start to ask questions about the top two in particular. At the moment, Liverpool and Manchester City are light years ahead in the Premier League.”
