England are preparing to face Bulgaria today, September 7 in the Euro 2020 qualifying round.
Ahead of the game, Manchester United and England forward Marcus Rashford has made a bold declaration claiming that it would be the best moment of his career if England win Euro 2020 in front of their own fans.
“I think the fact that it’s here makes it that extra bit special if we win it. And to do it front of our home fans and to have the stadium packed pretty much every game, I don’t think it gets any better than that really," said Rashford.
“If we manage to do something special, that feeling of winning, it’ll be tough to beat. So yes, of course, we want to put on a show and we want to win as many games as we can.
"Ultimately we’re working towards that end goal of trying to win a tournament.
“I’d definitely consider us to be in that bracket (of top teams) but we work hard to push beyond and we want to be more consistent against the best teams in the world and, once we do that, then we can consider ourselves to be up there.
“I’m in a good place with England but I’ve always enjoyed my time meeting up with England. The fans have been very patient and they’ve supported me. Together, we’ve developed in the right way I think.”
England are currently leading their group with 6 points.
