Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia is set to make another attempt to sign Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde in the upcoming transfer windows as of the uncertainty over Antonio Rudiger's future.
Kounde was expected to make a late move to west London in the summer but Monchi's decision not to let him leave ruined any potential transfer at the time.
According to
The Athletic, Chelsea are expected to renew their attempts to sign the former Bordeaux man with another piece also suggesting that rumours of Rudiger's representatives sounding out other clubs have some substance to them.
Negotiations have been held over the contract situation for the Germany international in his backline, but with Rudiger potentially available on a free transfer next summer, he could possibly earn more elsewhere amid interest from foreign clubs.
