Matteo Guendouzi throws shade at Arsenal in first press conference after Marseille transfer

Matteo Guendouzi has an aim to help Marseille win the UEFA Champions League after his loan transfer from Arsenal. The former Lorient man, who spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at German outfit Hertha Berlin, has joined Marseille on loan for the duration of the forthcoming season, but the Ligue 1 club have the option to make the deal a permanent one at the end of it. And in his first press conference at Marseille, Guendouzi revealed his ambitions of winning Ligue 1 titles and the Champions League. "I came here for the long-haul. I’m thinking about a long-term future, I want to make my mark in this project, help the club play the Champions League and win titles," said the 22-year-old, as quoted by RMC Sport. "It’s true that I arrived at Arsenal very young, but I played more than 80 games in two seasons. I’m happy with what I was able to do over there. Now, I’ve come to Marseille to continue to progress. "They have already won the Champions League. That is not the case for everyone. There are many who would like to have had it. "It gives me immense pride to be here and I am going to represent the club’s colours to the best of my ability." Source - football.london Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
