Matthijs De Ligt speaks out on being benched in the first Serie A match

Juventus defender Matthijs De Ligt says he didn’t expect to be benched in the first Serie A match for Juventus against Parma.  Netherlands international, who has been bought by Bianconeri this summer from Ajax Amsterdam, was benched by Maurizio Sarri assistant Giovanni Martusciello, as Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonnuci were preferred for the starting lineup.
