Tottenham Hotspur are going to face Bayern Munich on Tuesday in their second Champions League match.
Ahead to the match against their strongest opponents in group stage, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has faced the media.
Speaking on Bayern he said: “
They are a club that every season try to prepare themselves to win the competition because their history says that. It’s a club that can be one of the contenders for sure to win the Champions League.”
Tottenham’s central defender Jan Vertonghen and midfielder Moussa Sissoko are in the final year of their deals.
“It’s a decision from the club and the player to sign a contract,” said Pochettino on Sissoko’s deal and added about Vertonghen, "I am open to everything. That is like what I told you about Moussa Sissoko - it’s a deal between the club.”
Though a huge clash is expected to take place, the Argentine believes they will succeed in this game: “We hope to win tomorrow and be in a better position than last season. That is why in football it’s important not how you start but how you finish. You need to be strong in mentality.”
