Maurizio Sarri has criticized the approach of his Chelsea players in Saturday’s defeat to Arsenal and blasted them for lack of motivation.
The Boues lost 2-0 to Arsenal as Alexandre Lacazette’s and Laurent Koscielny’s goals were enough to secure a win for Arsenal.
Sarri, who was in the dressing room for some time after the match eventually sent a message to his squad.
“I’m really angry about the approach that we adopted today,” Sarri told BT Sport.
“I understand that when we play strong teams you can find yourself in difficulty from time to time – but you need to react to those difficulties a lot better than we did today.”
Asked if he was in the dressing room so long because he was explaining that to the players, he continued: “Yes of course, obviously it’s part of my job to talk to the team. It’s the kind of approach that I don’t think we can really accept. It’s something that happened very much the same against Tottenham.
"We thought that we’d overcome that problem and yet it seems that we are finding it very difficult to get up for the game, to be truly motivated for these games some times. Losing is one thing, but I certainly don’t want to lose in that manner."
