Nico Rosberg claims, Max Verstappen will have to wait another year if he wants to team up with Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes.
All summer, there have been rumours about Verstappen potentially joining Mercedes. Verstappen already has a contract with Red Bull for 2020, but it has a performance clause in it that could have made him potentially free for next season.
“I’ve got some insider information and Max has in his contract that if he’s top three in the summer break this year then he can’t leave from Red Bull and he’s going to have to stay one more year,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“So we’re going to have to wait with seeing Max against Lewis in the same team at Mercedes and maybe 2021.”
