Lewis Hamilton can simply achieve his seventh world title this season, which will put him on a level with record champion Michael Schumacher. However, according to Norbert Haug, former vice president of Mercedes motorsport, Hamilton's performance is not similar to Schumacher's performance in his Ferrari time.
"Michael has never been in such a superior environment and racing car as Lewis has at Mercedes", Haug said in an interview with F1-Insider.com. "That should not in any way detract from the great performance of this man and an exceptional driver."
"What Lewis has been doing in Formula 1 for fourteen years in terms of consistency and ability is simply unique and there has never been before", Haug praises.
The Brit thinks Hamilton's performance will never be repeated. Nevertheless, both drivers have shaped the royal class of motorsport in their own unique way.
