According to Mike Coppinger, DAZN has "approved Sergey Derevyanchenko as the next opponent for Canelo Alvarez".
It has been earlier reported that Mexican boxer doesn't consider a fight with Derevyanchenko, IBF mandatory contender, as he wants a meeting with Sergey Kovalev and could move to 175.
Under these circumstances, Alvarez would have been deprived from his IBF title, but things seem to change in couple of days.
"Source tells @TheAthleticBOX DAZN has now approved Sergey Derevyanchenko as the next opponent for Canelo Alvarez, and there’s no condition attached that Canelo must fight GGG afterward. The Canelo side and Derevyanchenko side are engaged in negotiations" Coppinger wrote on twitter.
