Mikel Arteta admits concern over Emile Smith Rowe injury after Arsenal beat Leicester

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Emile Smith Rowe. The 20-year-old has picked up during the Gunners' Premier League clash. He went down under no pressure immediately after David Luiz scored the Gunners' equaliser at the King Power Stadium and had to be replaced by Martin Odegaard. Smith Rowe missed most of the first part of the season due to a series of injuries. Arteta has admitted he is concerned about the nature of the youngster's injury. "Yeah, I am concerned because for Emile to come out and say I cannot continue playing it should be something big," he said in his post-match press conference. "It was something related to his hip. But yeah he was in a good place after the game." Smith Rowe missed nearly a year of football in 2019 after sustaining a hip injury just before his loan move to RB Leipzig. Since coming back into the side the youngster has been a key part of Mikel Arteta's side's revival in the Premier League providing four assists in just 11 starts.
