Arsenal are facing some concerns over injuries as they prepare to face Tottenham Hotspur in the upcoming North London Derby on Sunday.
Gabriel Martinell will undergo a late fitness assessment to determine his availability for the match. The Gunners will be hosting their fierce rivals at the Emirates Stadium after a promising start to the season, with four wins and one draw in their first five Premier League games.
The Brazilian forward has played a crucial role in the club's pre-season form. Although he hasn't scored yet this season, he has been a consistent starter in Mikel Arteta's lineup and has provided two assists.
However, there are concerns about his availability due to a hamstring injury he sustained in the North Londoners' recent 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.
If he doesn't recover in time, he will join Thomas Partey on the injury list, who has already been ruled out by the coach due to a groin injury.
In his pre-match press conference, Arteta addressed these injury concerns:
“With Gabi [Martinelli] we’re still assessing him so let’s see if he can make the game or not. Thomas [Partey] is definitely out and the rest hopefully available.”
