Arsenal suffered a 3-1 defeat to Brighton in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday night and won't be continuing their journey in the EFL Cup.
Eddie Nketiah scored the only goal of the game for the Gunners, while Danny Welbeck (P), Kaoru Mitoma and Tariq Lamptey scored for the Seagulls.
Mikel Arteta gave an opportunity to young goalkeeper Karl Hein to start in goal as he made his debut. However, the debut didn't go as planned as the Gunners suffered a defeat and Hein made a few errors during the game.
And following the defeat, Arteta was asked about his goalkeeping choice for the game.
"I think he deserves the chance. He’s the first goalie of the national team and at his age that’s not usual. If I have to play him tomorrow again I would. Errors are part of football," said the Gunners manager when asked on picking Hein over Matt Turner.
