Mo Salah eportedly wants to earn a staggering £500,000 a week salary to extend his stay with Liverpool.
The Egypt international is one of the biggest earners at Anfield and he is has less than two years of his current deal, believed to be more than £200,000 a week.
The Reds only made one signing this summer, bringing in Ibrahima Konate for £36 million, and according to Mirror, they are preferring to concentrate on new extended contracts for their established stars.
Liverpool want to offer Salah a huge wage rise – but not to shatter any pay structure with £500,000 a week.
And the 29-year-old will have to lower his demands to receive a new improved deal.
Salah has been sensational for Jurgen Klopp's side since his £36 million arrival from Roma, having registered 127 goals and 49 assists and also helped them win Premier League, Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.
