Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has spoken out after overtaking Steven Gerrard as the Reds’ all-time leading goalscorer in the Champions League.
Salah scored the only goal for Jurgen Klopp's side in their final UCL group stage game against Midtjylland, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
“It’s a great feeling of course to be the top scorer for this club and in their history,” Salah told BT Sport after the game. “Something I am proud of but I need to keep going like that and score more goals.
“I need to make the gap bigger between me and him (Gerrard). I am trying all the time to score goals to help the team win games. That’s the most important thing.”
