Granit Xhaka has admitted that he would love to rejoin former club Borussia Monchengladbach when his current Arsenal contract expires.
Xhaka spent 4 years at Monchengladbach, where he made 140 appearances.
However, the 32-year-old never really hit the heights that were expected of him at the Emirates.
Indeed, he was close to moving to Roma this summer, but then Xhaka surprisingly signed a new deal with the Gunners until 2024.
“I never made the move from Borussia to Arsenal for the money; it was a dream for me to play in England,” RP Online report him saying.
“I have just extended my contract, which still has two and a half years to run.
“Then I’ll be 32, and if Max Eberl is willing to bring me back when I’m 32, my door will be open.”
Apparently, the Swiss midfielder is open to returning to Germany, if his former team's director of sport is willing to take him back.
