Naby Keita reveals Liverpool dressing room mood ahead of Manchester City clash

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita has told the 2019 Ballon d'Or nominations have handed the squad a "big boost" ahead of Liverpool vs Manchester City clash in the Premier League. Last season was a fortunate one for both English clubs. The Citizens became the Premier League champions, while Liverpool managed to get the Champions League title. This year City's Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling along with Liverpoool stars Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Georginio Wijnaldum were named on the 30-man Ballon d'Or shortlist. Keita believes this result shows that the hard work of the players is recognised. He told Liverpool's official website: "The whole dressing room has congratulated them. It’s an honour for them to be nominated, and it serves to mark your achievements up to that point, but it also serves as a motivation to continue improving and working as well. Of course, I am not only happy for Sadio [Mane], but the other Liverpool players too. They are all my teammates and I am really happy for them.
