Napoli winger Piotr Zielinski has revealed he had a conversation with Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds were linked with Zielinski ahead of the 2016/17 campaign, while Zielinski was on loan at Empoli from rivals Udinese. But Liverpool are also in the mix and may look to reignite their interest.
The Poland international recalled: "My head was a mess.
“Liverpool finally put a plan together and I met Jürgen Klopp. He said he wanted me in his team.
"I saw another world and after returning, my head was even more muddled.”
Currently Napoli are keen to offer Zielinski a new deal and significantly increase his release clause, which stands at around £57million (€65m).
