Newcastle United are planning to offer Bruno Guimarães a new contract very soon.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the club are keen to include a salary increase as part of the negotiation.
The Brazilian joined the Premier League side in January from Olympique Lyon Salary agreed for a €40M + €2M bonus fee and a contract until 2026.
Although the midfielder currently has four more years at St James’ Park, the Magpies urge for an extension as many top clubs are monitoring him after his impressive performances.
"We don't want to sell him", claimed club sporting director Dan Ashworth.
